Blue Care - Clinical Family Case Worker at Cape York Family Centre

This is a not-for-profit part of UnitingCare Queensland. This role will take responsibility for the intensive health and social care of nominated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families from Cape York affected by alcohol and drug use.  You will also be involved in building and maintaining relationship with the local government, elders and health and justice providers in nominated communities.  Applicants will need tertiary qualifications, professional registration and membership of the relevant professional associations in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, teaching, outdoor education or related disciplines.  Applicants will have demonstrated experience in delivering outcome focused family and individual interventions for complexmental health and substance use issues and demonstrated experience in the supervision of trainees.  Flexible working hours and the ability to salary package which allows you to pay for your general living expenses tax-free.  This role is permanent, full-time. Salaried - Position Level 6.

 Queensland Network of Alcohol and other Drugs are seeking a Sector Capacity Building Officer - Brisbane

This is a full time position to June 2019 to support and deliver an outocmes framework for the sector and the project plan as negotiated with the Commonwealth Department of Health while maintaining an awareness of relevant issues at a state, national and regional level.  This role wil act as QNADA's quality manager in relation to our ISO accreditation and manage and support members with the collection of the alcohol and other drugs treatment services national minimum data set including coordinating the annual validation and submission and prepare briefings and reports for the QNADA CEO and Board as required.  Applicants are required to have a demonstrated ability to research and analyse complex issues and develop appropriate responses in a collaborative environment as well as the ability to plan, manage and convene events, forums and consultations.  Applicants must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment while having a high level of written and verbal communications skills.  Intermediate to high skill level in using the Microsoft Office suite of software is required along with other desireable skills including relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in administration or project management.  For more information and to apply, please go here.

Renumeration is $65,000-$75, 000 per annum based on experience.

Youth Empowered Towards Independence: Cape York and Torres Region Youth Alcohol and other Drugs Coordinator

The RADIO (Remote Alcohol and other Drug Interventions and Outcomes) Coordinator is a senior clinicl treatment/capacity building position that will support local workers employed in local agencies in the Cape and Torres Straits. This project is a collaboration with the Cape Yape York and Torres services.  This role will work with a range of stakeholders and provide support to 3-5 AOD clinicians; undertake a clinical senior practice role and fulfil program reporting requirements.  Applicants must have strong leadership skills, clinical expertise in AOD treatment, a relevant tertiary qualifications, an understanding of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island communities and service delivery in remote contexts.
